Pilates is a method of body conditioning which was created by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century.
Originally, Joseph called his method Contrology.
It is based on 6 important principles:
Regular Pilates practice strengthens as well as lengthens your muscles to create a beautiful balanced body. It goes beyond strengthening your core to provide a whole body workout. As there are many levels in Pilates, it is a workout for everyone including: complete beginners, people requiring rehabilitation to be healthy and strong, as well as athletes that want to stay injury free and improve their technique.
The benefits of a regular Pilates session include:
- a stronger body
- improved flexibility
- a lean physique (Pilates does NOT bulk your muscles, it makes them stronger)
- improved balance and coordination
- elimination or reduction of lower back pain ( as well as other postural related pains)
- stress reduction – inclusive of a mind/body exercise
Nowadays, Pilates comes in many different forms that differ from what Joseph Pilates created.
Kinga received her intensive training from Authentic Pilates Education Australia, which teaches the purest form of Pilates handed down from generation to generation. Some of the mentors at the Authentic Pilates are 2nd generation teachers. Additionally, she has an experience of training and working at Village Pilates, one of the best modern pilates studios. The combined knowledge and experience comes together to offer her clients the variety of options depending on their bodies needs and abilities.
Pilates is usually taught in the studio with the use of apparatus that has been designed by Mr Pilates himself. However, the bread and butter of Pilates is mat work.
Simply Fit gives you the opportunity to experience this highly successful method of exercise at the convenience of your own home using a work mat, your body weight, small props such as roller, resistance tubes, and other range of tools
